Our Mobile App
Night Nite Babies offers a mobile application to help families manage their care experience with us. This section describes how we handle information specific to the App, in addition to the practices described elsewhere in this Policy.
App Accounts
To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account using information such as your name, email address, phone number, and a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Information Families Enter Into the App
The App may allow you to enter information about your family, household, and child’s care needs, including preferences, routines, and other details you choose to share so we can help coordinate and personalize your care.
Care Notes and Documentation
Caregivers and staff may use the App to record care notes and documentation related to the services provided during a shift or visit (for example, feeding times, sleep logs, or general updates on your child’s routine). These notes are intended solely to support continuity and quality of care, are treated as confidential client information, and are accessible only to authorized staff and, where the App provides this feature, to the family receiving care.
Scheduling Information
The App may display and allow you to manage scheduling information, such as upcoming appointments, caregiver assignments, shift times, and booking history, so you can coordinate care and stay informed of changes.
Notifications
With your permission, the App may send push notifications, in-app alerts, SMS, or email notifications regarding appointment reminders, scheduling updates, caregiver arrival or status updates, and other service-related communications. You can manage notification preferences in the App settings or your device settings at any time.
Device and App Information
When you use the App, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain device and usage information, including device type, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, app version, crash logs and diagnostic data, and general usage activity within the App (such as features used and screens viewed). We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App.
Third-Party Service Providers
We work with third-party service providers to help build, host, and operate the App, such as cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, push notification and messaging services, analytics and crash-reporting tools, and app store platforms (such as Apple App Store or Google Play). These providers may process information on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect it and use it only to provide services to us, consistent with this Policy.
Data Retention (App)
We retain information collected through the App, including account information, care notes, and scheduling records, for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our Services, maintain accurate care and business records, comply with legal and tax obligations, and resolve any disputes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable legal requirements.
Security (App)
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through the App, including measures such as encryption in transit, access controls limiting staff access to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, and secure hosting infrastructure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your App account at any time by contacting us using the information in Section 13. Once we verify your request, we will deactivate your account and it will no longer be accessible for login or use.
Data Deletion
You may also request deletion of the personal information associated with your App account, including profile information, care notes, and scheduling history. We will delete this information unless we are legally required or permitted to retain certain records (for example, for tax, legal, or safety-related recordkeeping purposes), in which case we will inform you of what is retained and why.
